Economic Lifestyle Blogpost

The profession that I would like to get into is Business Administration. Business Administration is like being the boss of a company. You get to make big decisions that benefit to company and get to manage the employees. For this assignment, I interviewed my mom, Karen Cannizzaro. She was very helpful and willing to answer all of my questions.

The potential jobs for the career are endless. Every company needs a boss and some to manage the businees side of it. She belives that the job market will still be good even when I graduate in a few years. Althought the economy is in bad shape, we still need smart and intelligent people to run businesses. The types of jobs for this career vary. My mother is a business administrator at a surgery center. One could work in any field.

The pitfalls and problems for this jobs is that all the responsibility is rested on their shoulders. They are responsible for the managing the money and making sure that the employees are doing their job correctly. They also have to make sure that the business is liscened correctly and that the company is meeting all of its requirements.

Ecological Lifestyle

I started with needed 4.4 earths to support me. I ended with 4.0 earths. By reducing the amount that I drive the foods that I eat. I redueced almost half and earth. I also learned some different ways to recycle and think differently about buying things.
I believe that it would be more cost efficient to reduce my ecological footprint because I would be driving less and not need to but as much gas as I do.

No Technology-End

During the 24 hours spent without techonology, I learned alot about myself. I learned that without the distraction, I can get more work done and feel more accomplished.
Some of the experienced I had without techonlogy were that I actually made some new friends. Without my phone attched to my hip, I was more approachable and willing to talk to peopole I might not have otherwise.
When I woke up, I could not turn the TV on and watch to news. I couldn't turn my computer on to check Blackboard or Facebook. I felt very out of the loop with people.
I chose to do my assignment on Sunday because I felt that this would be a day that I would be more productive and not feel so tempted to use my cell phone.
During the week, I would usually use my phone after every class and even while class is still going on. I realized that this task wouldn't be possible is I did it during the week.
I'm not sure if I see the world differently but I do know that without cell phones and computers, the world would be more creative.

One Challenge

I believe the economic situation will be a huge challege to everyone in the next four years. The economic crisis not only affects our nation, but others as well.
This econonmic problem affects my family in ways that we are seeing now and ones that can only emerge with time. One of these problems is with retirement. Individuals and couples who had planned on retiring in the next 5 to 10 years might be able to for 15 or more years. Some might not be able at all. When the stock market took a plunge, money that families had saved for years all of a sudden had disappeared. The lack of money hurts the economy because now do not have disposible income and can spend as freely as they once did.
On a global scale, the ecomony has supresses the cost of oil and fuel. This in turn hurts the oil manufacturers that are stationed all over the world.
The economic problem is a issue for everyone around the world.
